A FULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR 2010 IS CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED BY THE MENS AND LADIES SOCIAL OFFICERS





2009  SOCIAL EVENTS
Open Week

A full programme of entertainment took place on Open week with entertainment taking place each night there was a prizegiving presentation
Friday 31st – Liam Gannon on piano presented a musical interlude
Sunday 2nd – The dynamic Duggan brothers made their debut in the Club with music and dancing
Wednesday 5th  – An acoustic night with the Triple A’s and a good old fashioned sing song took place.
Friday  7th - Piano Singalong with Emmanuel McCormack
Lady Captains Night
Another full house as members, family and friends attended the lady captains night for Ada Kenny. The presentation was followed by music and dance by the legendary  with Owen, Gerry and Brendan.
Captains Night 11th July  – Neil Gaynor
A full house attended to pay tribute to the Captain with cameo roles from Oliver Smith and Tom Horkan. Gerry Grennan ,Brendan Emmett and Eoin Troy were on hold to give a terrific nights entertainment as the Captain family and members bopped to the band and a foot tapping solo performance of “Sweet Caroline” by the Captain
Michael O'Brien - Presidents Night 12th June
A large crowd attended the  Presidents night with music and dancing till the wee hours courtesy of the Padraig Fox band

French Soiree May 31st @ 8:00

The French Evening took place and a great night was had by all on a beautiful evening. The food with a very distinct flavour flavour was excellent. Graham Monaghan as always was excellent and had at one point everyone(excluding Tommy) on the dance floor

 QUIZ & PUTT   Friday  March 20th
The Quiz and Putt took place in the golf club on March 20th with the winning team of Karen&Joe Keyes, John Horan and David Cunningham. A great night was had by all with plenty of advice forthcoming from the teams on the puttting element. Well done to Michael Gillen who acted as the Quizmaster on the Night 

 

Valentines Gala Dinner   Feb 14th  

A very successful Valentines Gala Dinner was held in the club on Valentines night. It was a full house and attendees were treated to a excellent 6 course meal put on by Tommy Battles and his staff followed followed by a Mr & Mrs competition. The excellent voice and music of Graham Monaghan rounded off what was a great night.
