A new championship tee and extended green have added during the recent revitalisation making a stern test for the start of the back nine. Favour LHS of fairway to get a good view of the green for the approach.
The fairway features a large slope in the landing area that kicks balls towards the fairway bunker. The safe line is down the right however the left provides a better view of the green.
There is only 1 fairway bunker to be wary of at 220 yards, however finding it all but ensures you won't reach in 2.
This 65 yard green features a large mound on the right that will feed the ball into the green, and a fall off on the left that guides balls towards a deep pot bunker.
The world-famous golf course in Rosses Point offers an excellent challenge. The traditional links layout, designed by Harry Colt, utilises the natural contours of the dune-covered landscape rather than moving large amounts of earth during its design.
