The Wild Atlantic Links

County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point is The Wild Atlantic Links.  It is a course carved by the earth, winds and water and a true test of golf.  It is situated in the picturesque seaside village of Rosses Point just 8km from Sligo town, 50 mins from Ireland West Airport and less than three hours from Dublin and Shannon Airports.

County Sligo Golf Club is one of the world’s great links courses, originally founded in 1894, redesigned by Harry Colt in 1927 and currently being enhanced by the great links architect Pat Ruddy.  Thanks to our magnificent setting and Atlantic seascape, Rosses Point is “always a different course, always a different challenge.”

Our Championship and Bomore courses are enjoyed each year by members and visitors from all over the world. We are home to the famous West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship each year at Easter. Recent winners have included Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Mikko Ilonen and Padraig Harrington.

The spectacular scenery of mountains, ocean and countryside surrounding our classic links has been immortalised in the poetry of our famous Nobel Prize-winning neighbour and poet WB Yeats.

County Sligo Golf Club would like to acknowledge Tim H Murphy Photography for the stunning photography of our golf course. You can view Tim’s brilliant work at his photography website www.timhmurphy.com
